A few readers have already asked me for this post, and I also wanted to round up the major trends for fall-winter 2012. This is by no means an attempt to cover all the trends but mainly focus on the ones I'm interested most. And first up is - Burgundy.
Burgundy - After seeing hints of this color in previous seasons it will appear big time in the following seasons. Wine hues are going to be big and you only need to decide if you want them to be a major thing in your winter wardrobe, or just incorporate little glimpses of it in accessories, shoes and makeup.

Now for a trend I'm really excited about: Extraordinary pants.
Extraordinary pants - Being a big seperates season, winter is bringing in Da Pants, the more bold, interesting and extarordinary, the better. Hope you're ready to have fun with your trousers.
This winter I'm going to look for bold and special prints on pants, plus pants made from rich and luxe fabrics such as jacquard. I don't think I'll be that experimental with the cut, but the print and details - oh yeah!

I know I wrote a paragraph ago that the pants are taking center stage, but that doesn't mean sweaters are going to the back of the closet without a fight! Get ready for big, chunky and statement sweaters, displaying fun and quirky prints and patterns.
I'm definitely already on the lookout for a nice statement sweater, let me know if you bump into something really special.

I'm extra excited about this trend because I love these kinds of print. Plus during my stay in Paris I have managed to get my hands on a lust worthy checked top which I hope to wear ASAP.
