סופסוף הזדמן לי ללבוש מעיל וכובע צמר - הידד! מזג האויר באמסטרדם היה מבחינתי לא פחות ממושלם ועם האקססוריז ההכרחיים, צעיף וכובע צמר, היה אפשר להסתובב בחוץ בלי סוף (למרות שלא ממש היה צריך).
מבחינת שופינג, על אף שלא לשם כך התכנסנו כמובן שלא חזרתי בידיים ריקות והצלחתי ללקט לי כמה דברים נחמדים. העיר מציעה אינספור חנויות ואופציות שופינג אופנתי, הנה כמה מהן:

1. Kalverstraat - רחוב הקניות בהא הידיעה. בדומה לאוקספורד סטריט או לשדרה החמישית, הרחוב הומה אנשים וצפוף מאוד ועקב כך לא הכי נעים להסתובבות. עם זאת, קשה לפספס אותו כשמגיעים לעיר (גם אם מנסים) והוא כולל חנויות של כל המותגים ה"עממיים" והמוכרים שחלקם נמצאים גם אצלנו. הגעתי לשם הפעם בציפייה לפקוד את החנות הדי חדשה של המותג השוודי Monki, שלמרבה הצער (או השמחה) לא הצליחה לגרום לי לגהץ את הכרטיס.

2. De negen straatjes ("תשעת הרחובות") - מקבץ של תשעה רחובות קטנים וחמודים שממוקמים בין ארבעת התעלות הגדולות. האיזור מרכזי אבל הרבה פחות הומה מה-kalverstraat וכולל חנויות קטנות ובוטיקים מגניבים של נעליים, משקפיים, בגדים, בגדי יד שנייה, תכשיטים וכד'. והרבה בתי קפה ומסעדות קטנות.

3. PC Hooftstraat - רחוב בו חובבי המותגים הכבדים ימצאו את מבוקשם. בוטיקים של שאנל, בולגרי, גוצ'י, מלברי, לואי ויטון ועוד והמחירים בהתאם. למזלי הגעתי לאיזור ביום ראשון בבוקר, הרבה לפני שעות הפתיחה (ההולנדים פותחים מאוחר בראשון, ועוד יותר מאוחר בשני...) אז הנזק המקסימלי שהייתי יכולה לעשות היה לבהות בתיק אלקסה המנומר והמושלם מבעד לסורגים ולצלם את החלון של שאנל.

4. Noordermarkt - שוק פתוח בשכונת היורדן (Jordaan) שפעיל ביום שני בבוקר. דוכנים עמוסים בבגדי יד שנייה, אקססוריז וכל מיני אוספים מוזרים של מספריים, כפתורים ושטויות אחרות. מקום מצוין למציאות, בייחוד לחובבי יד שנייה ושווקי פשפשים.

5. Waterlooplein markt - שוק פשפשים שפעיל במהלך כל ימי השבוע מלבד ראשון. הרבה יותר גדול מהשוק של היורדן וכולל באסטות לרוב שמציעות בגדי יד שנייה לצד בגדים חדשים, שמעטס ומוצרים לבית. באופן אישי אני מעדיפה את שוק הפשפשים שבסעיף 4, אבל גם זה שווה ביקור וחיטוט לשם איתור אוצרות חבויים.

So, I finally got to wear a coat and beanie - Hurray! The weather in Amsterdam was so perfect for me, and with the right accessories for fighting the cold I could be out and about for hours (not that I needed to, many lovely cafes were tempting me in every corner).
Shopping was definitely not the aim of this trip, but still I managed to come back with some new finds. The city offers many stores and shopping places, here are a few:

1. Kalverstraat - The shopping street with a capital THE. Like oxford street or 5th Avenue it is very busy and not ideal, but all the fast fashion brands are there and if you are in Amsterdam it's pretty much impossible to avoid. I wanted to check out the new Monki store, but it wasn't as exciting as I thought.

2. De negen straatjes ("The nine streets") - nine little cute streets located in between the 4 canals. This area is close to the center but much nicer and more relax than the kalverstraat. You can find here lots of small boutiques for shoes, clothes, second hand, vintage and accessories. And great little cafes.

3. PC Hooftstaart - If you're interested in the big brands this is the place for you. Chanel, Hermes, Gucci, Mulberry, Louis Vuitton etc. boutiques, and prices accordingly. Got there early Sunday morning before stores were open so all I could do was take pictures of the Chanel window and longingly stare at the leopard pony-hair Alexa bag behind the window bars. Well, actually that was all I would have done even if it was open...

4. Noordermarkt - Open air flea market in the Jordaan neighbourhood, open Monday mornings. Racks filled with second hand clothing, accessories and all kinds of weird collections such as small scissors and buttons. Perfect place for finding cool bargains.

5. Waterlooplein markt - Flea market open every day except Sunday. Much bigger than the Noordermarkt and offers new and used clothes, household appliances and other nicknacks. I prefer the one in the paragraph above, but this market is also worth a visit.

Amsterdam photo diary

מי שעוקב אחרי בטוויטר בוודאי שם לב שביליתי את סוף השבוע האחרון במחוזות צפוניים וקרירים או בשמם המוכר יותר: אמסטרדם. נסעתי עם חברה טובה לחגוג את ימי הרווקות האחרונים שלה ביעד שמאוד אהוב על שתינו ולא איכזב גם הפעם. אף פעם לא ממש חיפשתי בעיר הזו 2/3 מהדברים שאמסטרדם מהווה מוקד משיכה בגללם - סקס, סמים וצ'יפס עם מיונז - ועם זאת העיר ההולנדית איישה במשך שנים ועדיין מאיישת את אחד המקומות הראשונים אצלי לחופשה אידאלית. בעיניי אמסטרדם נמנית על הערים היפות והרומנטיות (כן, כן!) שנתקלתי בהן ומשהו בגודל, הדי קטן שלה, מאוד מזמין ונעים לי. דברים טובים באים בחבילות קטנות.
בונוס נוסף הגיע בדמות מזג אויר חורפי ודי קר במונחים ישראליים, אבל כזה שהיווה הפוגה נדרשת מהקיץ שעדיין לא נגמר כאן ואיפשר לי להוציא סוף סוף את כמה מפריטי החורף שלי לסיבוב. תוסיפו לזה פרוסות לחם לבן עם מריחות חמאה נדיבות ו-hagel slag שמפוזר מלמעלה, קערות מרק מהבילות לבלי סוף, בירה מקומית, שוקולדים יקרים משהו אך מעולים מ-puccini וקפיצות תדיר לסניף הקרוב של albert heijn וקיבלתם בחורה אחת מבסוטה לגמרי.
התלונה היחידה שיש לי היא העובדה שמוזיאון ה-Stedelijk היה שוב(!!!) סגור לשיפוצים, וזו בערך הפעם הרביעית שאני לא מצליחה לקיים את הביקור הכל כך מצופה שלי במקום הזה. נו טוב, כנראה שיש לי עכשיו עוד סיבה לחזור לעיר התעלות...

If you follow me on Twitter, you probably knew I spent my weekend in a northern and cool place, also known as Amsterdam. I went with a good friend of mine to celebrate her last days as a bachelor, and as a favorite destination for both of us, Amsterdam did not disappoint. I was never really looking there for 2/3 of the things Amsterdam is notorious for - sex, drugs and fries with mayonnaise - but this city has always been in the top of my vacation destination list.
I find this place so beautiful and very romantic, and because it is a pretty small city, I find it cozy and inviting. Good things come in small packages.
Another added bonus was the winter weather, a nice cold break from the never-ending Israeli summer, which enabeled me to take out for a stroll some of my winter clothes. Finally! Add to that slices of white bread with butter and hagel slag sprinkled on top, hot and delicious bowls of soup, local beer, stupidly expensive yet yummy chocolates from puccini, and trips to the nearest albert heijn for snacks, and you've got yourself a happy gal.
My only complaint is that for the forth visit, the Stedelijk museaum was still undergoing renovation so I could not check out the permanent collections I was so looking forward to see. Well ,I guess I have a good reason to come to Amsterdam again...

מנסה בכל מאודי למצוא פינות ורגעים של סתיו ומבחינתי העובדה שלבשתי ביום ראשון בנוחות ובנעימים גרביונים מבוקר ועד ערב מהווה הצלחה מסחררת. עם זאת אני עמוסה בהשראות וברעיונות לחורף, הכוללים מעילים, סריגי צמר עבים, דמויי פרוות בצורות שונות והרבה שכבות, אז אני מרגישה רחוקה מלבוא על סיפוקי האופנתי וכל הצצה באיזור החורפי של הארון מסתכמת במבטי ערגה ובתחושת ציפייה עזה.
בחרתי ללבוש כאן שילוב צבעים שאני מאוד אוהבת עם טאץ' קטן אך הכרחי מבחינתי של מנומר - ובזאת סגרתי את הפינה החסרה של חגורה מנומרת במלתחתי. מומלץ בחום (וגם בקור)! החגורה הזאת היתה ב-wishlist הפרקטי והמחושב שלי (יש לי כמה), אם יכול להיות wishlist שכזה, והיא כבר בדרך להשלמת ייעודה כאקססורי מרכזי. הנעליים ממשיכות מהחורף הקודם ויחד עם מכנסי הסקיני העשויים מעין קטיפה, נותנות תחושה חורפית - מה שנקרא, לחיות בלי ולהרגיש עם...

Trying my best to find places and moments of autumn out there (in this measly Israeli "autumn"), and the fact that I wore tight all throughout Sunday is considered a huge success for me. But still, I'm so filled with ideas and inspiration for winter, which include coats, thick wool knits, faux fur items and lots of layers, so I feel pretty unsatisfied fashion wise.
Wearing here a favorite color combination, with the extra fun touch of the leopard print belt. I finally crossed the "leopard skinny belt" line out of my wishlist and I'm sure it's going to become a wardrobe staple in no time. The shoes are making a comeback from last winter and with those velvety skinny pants give me a winter-y feel, even if no winter is in sight.

Lanvin love H&M

לאחר חיטוט מעמיק בשואורום של ה-קולקציה שכולם כל כך ציפו לה להלן רשמי הויזואליים. באופן אישי הייתי מתמקדת בשמלות השחורות והכהות (פריטים 9, 22, 26-27 בלינק הזה), בג'קטים דמויי הפרווה למיניהם ובבולרו השקוף. במחלקת האקססוריז שרשראות השנדליר נראות לי כמו השקעה טובה (לי כבר יש משהו מאוד דומה שרכשתי לפני שנה) ואני רואה את הקופסאות בתור פריט החובה האולטימטיבי של הקולקציה, גם אם לא קניתם ממנה כלום.
הסיטואציה שמאחורי התמונה האחרונה התרחשה כמובן בבית, והיא בוודאי מוכרת לכל מי שמגדל חתול... שבת שלום!

נ.ב "אני רוצה לנוון, לא פרחים!" (מקור). טוב, כבר קישקשתי על זה בעבר בפוסט ההוא, אהבתי את הראש.

After going thoroughly through the highly anticipated collection at the H&M showroom, these are my visual impressions. And if you want my opinion, I personally would focus on the black and dark colored dresses (items 9, 22, 26-27 in the attached link), the faux fur jackets and the sheer mesh bolero. In the accessories department the chandelier necklaces look like a good investment (I already have something very similar which I got last year) and on top of all, the boxes are definitely the must have item of the collection. Even if you are not going to get any clothing items.
The situation photographed on the last pic occurred at home and if you are cat owners I can imagine it looks familiar... Happy weekend!

לא נראה לי שהעובדה שאני מגדלת חתול אחד ויחיד, על אף שהוא מתנהג כמו חמישה, מזכה אותי בכינוי הלא הכי מחמיא "cat lady" אבל כשצילמנו את התמונות היה נדמה קצת שכן, עקב נהירה המונית של חתולים לפריים. הם היו כל כך חמודים, לבביים וששים לאינטראקציה שאי אפשר היה שלא לחייך ולשתף איתם פעולה. אין מה לומר, אם כבר להיות חתול אז ברמת גן...
בפוסט הנ"ל החלטתי להוציא מן הגנזך את החולצה המשובצת הזאת, שנמצאת ברשותי כבר משהו כמו חמש שנים טובות אך רק לאחרונה היא זוכה לעדנה ולשימושים ראויים. כנראה שזה מכיוון שדי אלמנטרי לשלב אותה עם פריטים בגווני קאמל, tan וחומים למיניהם שמאוד חביבים עלי. החצאית כבר הופיעה כאן בעבר והנעליים הן עוד גירסה של מוקסינים המצויידים בעקב - סגנון שמשלב נוחות ויופי ומשום מה אני לא ממש רואה בהמוניו בחנויות הנעליים (חבל!) אז מזל שהסתדרתי לי על כמה זוגות מבעוד מועד.
המשך שבוע טוב - רק יום שלישי ואני כבר עם הלשון בחוץ! ותודה לאריאל על הצילומים.

I guess the fact that I'm raising only one cat doesn't qualify me for earning the (not so flattering) title of "cat lady", but while taking these photos I kinda felt like one, due to a flow of cats into the frame. Anyway, they were so cute and willing to interact that there was no way to refuse them and all I could do was smile.
Regarding what I'm wearing, I finally decided to make some use of this plaid blouse that is sitting in my closet for about five years now. I guess it is because it's quite logical to pair it with camel, tan or brown colored items which I like very much at the moment. The skirt you already saw here and the shoes are another pair of loafer pumps - a style that is both pretty and comfy, and that for some reason I don't see dominating the shoe stores in Israel (pitty!) as I had expected. Luckily I already got my initial fix so I'm covered for now.
