almost summer

It's been a lovely summer day here in Israel. I skipped calling it spring intentionally, since I think 28 degrees celsius is most definitely summer. And next week is supposed to be even hotter.
So it was a good idea to wear a short sleeve today and a pair of jeans. Lately I've been leaning towards simple silhouettes and clean lines. Or maybe simpler than I'm used to.
This shirt was one of the things I picked up in Paris, on sale, of course, and I'm glad I did because it was on my wishlist for a few months. And it is the best companion for the all-time summer cliché (but good cliché) of white jeans, and my beloved Balenciaga bag.

טוב אז נהיה לגמרי קיץ פתאום, הא? זמן מצוין לשלוף מהארון את הקלישאה האופנתית האביבית שנקראת ג'ינס לבן. אבל אין מה לעשות, קלישאה קלישאה - זה עובד!
וכמובן שלא היתה סיבה ללבוש חולצה עם שרוול ארוך ביום שכזה, אז יכולתי להינות מעוד אחת מהמציאות שמצאתי בפריז. החולצה הזו כיכבה בוויש-ליסט שלי במשך כמה חודשים ושמחתי לגלות אותה בסייל וגם כה מתאימה להרבה דברים שיש לי בארון.
אפרופו ארון, תמונות של המלתחה שלי (קודש הקודשים!) אמורות להיות מפורסמות באחד ממוספי סוף השבוע - אלא אם הזיתי והבחור שהיה פה לפני שבועיים וצילם במשך שעה וחצי לא היה צלם של מעריב - אז אם מישהו נתקל בהן נא עשו ג'סטה ותשלחו לי :)
הפוסט הבא אמור להיות פוסט מאוד מיוחד וחשוב לי, שנדחה כבר יותר מדי זמן ולא פורסם מתי שהיה אמור, אז נא היאזרו בסבלנות ותחזיקו אצבעות שסופסוף אצליח להוציא אותו לאור.

genesis

I've been a bad bad blogger lately... Oh well, until blogging will be my main occupation, if ever (it is definitely not right now), I'm allowed to.
Life has been really busy with both work, school, and a bit of fun. And these pictures are a little ducumentation of that fun
I spent the weekend with my family in a beautiful resort at the south of Israel called "Be'reshit" (=Genesis). The resort is located in Mitzpe Ramon and is overlooking Makhtesh Ramon, which is definitely one of the natural wonders and treasures of Israel.
If you ever come to Israel I highly recommend visiting the area.
I packed really light for this two day weekend, and what you see above was my evening outfit (minus a burgundy velvet blazer). I also wore this outfit to work.
Since I was on vacation I chose my most comfy and trusty skinny jeans, a breezy printed blouse and cool suede pumps. Very simple and nice to wear.

אני יודעת, הייתי בלוגרית רעה לאחרונה. אבל מאחר ובלוגינג רחוק מלהיות העיסוק העיקרי שלי, זה מה יש... החיים מאוד עמוסים לאחרונה בלחיות (דאאא), לעבוד, ללמוד וגם קצת לבלות.
והצילומים שלמעלה הם עדות לבילויים האחרונים: את הסופ"ש האחרון היה לי העונג לבלות במצפה רמון ובאופן ספציפי יותר במלון בראשית הצופה על מכתש רמון היפהפה.
זה היה סופ"ש קצר ומלא פעילויות, כולל השכמה ביום שבת ב-6 בבוקר לצפות בזריחה (אף אחד מהנופשים איתי לא האמין שאהיה מסוגלת להתעורר, כמובן שהעמדתי אותם על טעותם), צפייה ביעלים מסתלבטות בשמש, טיולים קצרים בסביבה ונסיעה אחת על סגוואי. לא רע. ומומלץ.
האאוטפיט שאתם רואים הוא תלבושת הערב שבחרתי לסופ"ש ונלבשה יומיים ברציפות. ארזתי ממש ממש קל לסופ"ש הזה (אני מאוד מרוצה מעצמי, טייק 2) אז החלטתי שיהיה אפשר בהחלט להסתדר עם תלבושת אחת לערב. ושתיים ליום. ובגד ים. זהו.
תלבושת זו כללה חולצה ארוכה קלילה עם הדפס, בלייזר קטיפה בצבע בורדו (לא נראה בתמונות האלה), זוג הג'ינס האהוב עלי ביותר ונעלי עקב מזמש (את אלה ספציפית קניתי באתר 6pm לפני מס' חודשים בשליש מהמחיר בארץ).
זה כמובן שילוב שאני בהחלט יכולה ללכת איתו גם לעבודה, וגם הספקתי לעשות זאת כבר.

tropical storm

Palm trees, tropical birds, exotic flowers, hawaiian shirts and bright colors - this is what the cool kids are wearing at the moment.
Tropical prints have taken over the usual floral print spot for summer, and definitely give the common and expected florals the required edge and pizzazz.
If you decide to "go tropical" you should really go all the way, but another less binding alternative would be to wear an all white outfit with a touch of tropicana in your accessories: such as shoes, bag etc.

הטרנד החם של הקיץ הוא ללא ספק הדפסים טרופיים למיניהם: ענפי דקל, פרחים אקזוטיים, צבעוניות עזה ציפורים ותוכים - כל הנ"ל זוכים למקום של כבוד על בגדים, תיקים, נעליים ושאר פריטי אופנה.

summer is here

The serious heat we've been having here lately means just one thing: summer is here!
So to celebrate the new season and get into the right mood I ordered myself a "summer and vacation" package from ASOS, which I'm very happy with even if for conceptual purposes only (although sunnies are pretty practical in the part of the world where I live in).
Of course there is nothing that symbolizes summer more than a nice tropical print, which this summer takes over territories that usually belong to the floral print and establishes a place as the leading and official summer print.
And I'm totally down with it... Just bring me a cold drink in a coconut shell + colorful umbrella and put me in some Caribbean island and I'll be a happy camper..

החום השורר בשבועות האחרונים במקומותינו לא משתמע לשתי פנים ואפשר כבר להכריז: הקיץ כאן!
על מנת לחגוג את המאורע ולהיכנס למצב הרוח המתאים, הזמנתי לי לפני כשבועיים "חבילת קיץ ונופש" שכזאת מאסוס, שנועדה בראש ובראשונה להיות הסמן הקייצי הראשון של המלתחה ולשמש אולי כעוגן קייצי קונספטואלי יותר מאשר פרקטי - אם כי משקפי שמש בישראל זה מאוד פרקטי.
והרי אין דבר שמסמל יותר קיץ, נופש, שמש וים, מאשר הדפס טרופי עסיסי ומדויק. השנה ההדפס הזה משתלט על טריטוריות שבדרך כלל שייכות להדפס הפרחוני ומבסס לעצמו מעמד בתור ההדפס הקיצי המוביל, ואני לגמרי זורמת עם זה! אם אפשר לאיזו חופשת בטן גב באי קריבי...

happy pants

I think "happy pants" are a great way to start the month so I'm happy to show you a few pairs of pants that recently joined my closet. You already know how I love bold prints and colorful patterns but for some reason lately I especially like to wear them on the bottom half of my body.
These are really fun pants to wear and mix and match with other items. I guess you have probably seen how I chose to wear the navajo print trousers from zara, hopefully I'll soon be able to display here outfits with the other two as well. Have a lovely weekend and a great February!

אין כמו להתחיל את החודש ולפתוח את הסופ"ש עם מכנסיים משמחים (או כל פריט לבוש משמח אחר, אני לא מפלה, אבל כעת נתמקד במכנסיים) אז תכירו בבקשה את שלושת זוגות המכנסיים שנכנסו לאחרונה לארון הבגדים שלי. אתם כבר יודעים כמה אני אוהבת הדפסים מעניינים ודוגמאות צבעוניות, אבל לאחרונה אני מעדיפה במיוחד לעטות אותם על פלג גופי התחתון.
מדובר במכנסיים שכל כך כיף ללבוש ולשלב עם פריטים אחרים מהמלתחה ואפילו סתם להסתכל עליהם עושה לי טוב בלב. כבר ראיתם איך בחרתי ללבוש את המכנסיים בעלי ההדפס השבטי מזארה, מקווה שייצא לי להציג כאן בקרוב גם את השילובים שמצאתי עבור שני הזוגות האחרים. שיהיה לכולנו חודש מעולה!
