birthday wishlist

So, I celebrated my birthday yesterday.
In my age a woman is not supposed to tell how old she is, and it is expected of me to talk about new wrinkles, white hairs and how it was fun a long time ago when I had the body for belly baring tops. But I refuse to do so.
Instead I made a super wishful wish-list of things that would be lovely as birthday gifts and help me make the best of the upcoming seasons. I think these are pretty practical and could be used for years and years to come.
And if we put the material stuff aside for a moment I also have a wish or two that are not fashion related and I hope will come true, so if you want to blow a virtual candle for me that would be great.

אז, חגגתי אתמול יומולדת. 19.4, אל תשכחו להתקשר אליי בשנה הבאה :)
בגילי כבר אסור לחשוף את הגיל ואמורים להיאנח ולהתאונן על הקמטים, השערות הלבנות וכמה היה כיף כשהייתי פעם צעירה והיה לי גוף לחולצות בטן (??) אבל אני מסרבת לעשות זאת בינתיים.
במקום זה בחרתי להכין קולאז' מושחת וכייפי של מה שהייתי שמחה לקבל ליומולדת והיה עוזר לי לעבור את האביב והקיץ בשלום ובהנאה מבחינה אופנתית. וגם את הקייצים הבאים כי יצא שבחרתי דברים די קלאסיים שיכולים לשמש לשנים.
ואם נשים לרגע את הדברים החומריים בצד יש לי איזו משאלה או שתיים שבהחלט לא קשורה לאופנה או חפצים שאני מקווה מאוד שתתגשם בעתיד הקרוב (זה לא תינוק. עדיין לא, תרגיעו), אז אם בא לכם לפרגן לי אשמח אם תנשפו על איזה נר וירטואלי בשבילי או תקדישו לי ריס שנפל.

שיהיה שבוע טוב לילידי האביב, וגם לאלה שנולדו בעונות אחרות :)

white vest

Have been looking for a white vest for quite sometime now and as I saw it pop up in the Zara website I jumped with joy. Already familiar with the h&m leather version which is very lovely but costs about 3 times more $$$ and also not very suitable for the Israeli summer.
Paired it with a contrasting feminine pleated skirt from prada and my cute little snow leopard shopper I got last year and don't wear as often as I it deserves.

חיפשתי ווסט לבן וקייצי כבר די הרבה זמן, ושמחתי מאוד לגלות אותו בקטגוריית ה"חדש" באתר של זארה בשבוע שעבר. את הגירסה המצוינת מעור בצבע שמנת של הייץ' אנד אם אני כבר מכירה היטב, אבל היא עולה פי 3 וגם לא הכי מתאימה לקיץ הישראלי אז החלטתי לוותר עליה כבר לפני כמה חודשים ומתברר שהסבלנות והאיפוק השתלמו. לבחורה כל כך חסרת סבלנות כמוני זה היה שיעור מצוין.
צירפתי לווסט הקשוח חצאית קפלים קייצית ורומנטית, ואת התיק הגדול והמנומר שאני מאוד אוהבת אבל סובל מהזנחה קלה ולא נהנה משימוש מספיק כמו שמגיע ליפיוף כזה. זהו לעת עתה, אני משתוקקת לנוח אז נסיים בזאת.

An outfit composed of a few things I got on my last trip. Tried to be focused on "edited and high quality" and go for a few pieces that will go nicely with stuff I already have in my wardrobe, rather than a whole bunch of stuff. Time will tell if I managed to do that well.
Got this cute bucket bag from my BF as a souvenir from Sienna - quite a nice memento I would say! It is supposed to inherit the place of the great H&M bucket bag seen here, which I use a lot and find so great for going out of the house for a quick errand or when I don't feel like taking a bigger (normal day) bag.

אאוטפיט שמורכב מכמה דברים שהבאתי איתי מהנסיעה האחרונה. השתדלתי ללכת על מעט ואיכותי ועל דברים שישמשו אותי הרבה וישתלבו עם מגוון פריטים שכבר יש במלתחה. ימים יגידו אם אכן הצלחתי במשימה.
את התיק קיבלתי במתנה מהבחור כמזכרת מהעיר סיינה - אכן מזכרת ראויה! הוא מתעתד להחליף את התיק שנראה בפוסט הזה ושנחרש היטב (אך עדיין במצב חדיש, מישהו מעוניין? נמכר!) בכל פעם שאני קופצת מהבית ליציאה קלה ולא בא לי לקחת את אחד התיקים הגדולים. סגנון ה-bucket הוא המועדף עליי מכיוון שהוא נוח מאוד והגודל אידאלי לארנק, ליפסטיק, צרור מפתחות וסלולרי. שזה בתכל'ס כל מה שצריך.

אחד מאאוטפיטי השבוע שעבר. החולצה הזאת ממש דרשה ממני לשדך אותה לחצאית הכתומה הנפלאה ששכבה כמה שנים טובות בארון אבל זכתה לעדנה מחודשת ואפילו הובהלה לרמת גן במשלוח מיוחד מחיפה. קניתי אותה בארה"ב, בטיול שאחרי הצבא והיא הייתה אז שוס גדול אבל כמו כל השוסים האופנתיים, דעכה בשלב מסוים והיתה סרוחה בארון, עד לקאמבק שהופיע בצורת טרנד ה-colorblocking. אם כי נראה לי שלקחתי אותה לכיוון קצת אחר.
אה, ולגבי אורך החצאית שהתארך בפוסטים האחרונים - עוד לא הייתי מזעיקה את התקשורת, כמו שאומרים - סתם כמה נסיונות בטריטוריה לא נודעת, עוד מוקדם להבין לאן זה יוביל.

One of my outfits from last week. This blouse really demanded me to wear it with this lovely orange skirt which laid around in my closet for about... a decade!! I got it in NYC while I was on a trip to the US back then and it was a big hit, but like all big fashion hits found its way to the back of the closet for a few years. And then got rediscovered and had a great comeback thanks to the SS2011 colorblocking trend. But I think I took it to another direction...I also continue exploring longer skirt lengths - let's see where that's gonna lead us. Interesting!

Lanvin love H&M

לאחר חיטוט מעמיק בשואורום של ה-קולקציה שכולם כל כך ציפו לה להלן רשמי הויזואליים. באופן אישי הייתי מתמקדת בשמלות השחורות והכהות (פריטים 9, 22, 26-27 בלינק הזה), בג'קטים דמויי הפרווה למיניהם ובבולרו השקוף. במחלקת האקססוריז שרשראות השנדליר נראות לי כמו השקעה טובה (לי כבר יש משהו מאוד דומה שרכשתי לפני שנה) ואני רואה את הקופסאות בתור פריט החובה האולטימטיבי של הקולקציה, גם אם לא קניתם ממנה כלום.
הסיטואציה שמאחורי התמונה האחרונה התרחשה כמובן בבית, והיא בוודאי מוכרת לכל מי שמגדל חתול... שבת שלום!

נ.ב "אני רוצה לנוון, לא פרחים!" (מקור). טוב, כבר קישקשתי על זה בעבר בפוסט ההוא, אהבתי את הראש.

After going thoroughly through the highly anticipated collection at the H&M showroom, these are my visual impressions. And if you want my opinion, I personally would focus on the black and dark colored dresses (items 9, 22, 26-27 in the attached link), the faux fur jackets and the sheer mesh bolero. In the accessories department the chandelier necklaces look like a good investment (I already have something very similar which I got last year) and on top of all, the boxes are definitely the must have item of the collection. Even if you are not going to get any clothing items.
The situation photographed on the last pic occurred at home and if you are cat owners I can imagine it looks familiar... Happy weekend!

שמלת טרנץ' הייץ' אנד אם / trench dress H&M
סנדלים לנוון / sandals Lanvin

התכוונתי בכלל להעלות היום אאוטפיט אחר, שהרכבתי סביב אקססורי מעניין, אבל משום מה אני לא מוצאת את האקססורי הזה כרגע (אני בנאדם שנע בין הקצוות של סדר מופתי ובלאגניזם מוחלט, היום זה יום בלגאן), אז איכשהוא כל הפואנטה של האאוטפיט או גולת הכותרת שבו הלכה לאיבוד (תרתי משמע) והרעיון נגנז. דיווחים בהמשך, אחלו לי בהצלחה בחיפושים.
במקום אותו אאוטפיט, הלכתי על "שמלת מעבר" בגזרת טרנץ'. זאת בדיוק אחת מהשמלות האלה שמגיעות בזמן הנכון, בתקופה הזאת של המיץ-של-הקיץ שבה רמות ההשראה נמוכות (לפחות אצלי, אשריכם אם אתם מצליחים להיות מלאי השראה ביולי-אוגוסט ורעיונותיכם רבים כאגלי זיעה) וכל מה שבא זה לעשות fast-forward לחורף אבל אי אפשר.
וכמובן שעכשיו גם הכי מתחשק ללבוש שכבות, וצבעוניות כבדה ועשירה ובדים אחרים אבל אי אפשר, ואז צצה שמלת טרנץ' ללא שרוולים שמשמשת בדיוק כפרוזק האופנתי הדרוש לעיתויים כאלה וכחוליה המקשרת שהיא לא ממש קיץ ולא ממש חורף ומעוררת בי ציפייה להמשך.

I have been meaning to post another look today, an outfit that was built around an interesting accessory, but for some reason I have misplaced this item, so the whole point of that outfit was gone. I'll keep you posted, wish me luck finding this great item...
So instead, I decided to go for this "transition dress" aka trench dress. This is one of those dresses that pop up at the right time, just at the midst of summer heat and low inspiration (at least I'm feeling a bit low on inspiration right now), when all I want to do is fast forward to winter. but can't.
And of course at this point all I want to wear are layers, and rich dark colors and different fabrics, but can't. Luckily this dress is exactly what the fashion doctor prescribed for this timing and it functions as a link between the seasons, which makes me look forward to cooler days.
