Forget about rainboots (there is nonstop rain here) or umbrellas, the thing that I'm most interested in - rain or shine - is bags. So you can probably guess how happy I was to receive this little leopard baby yesterday, after it made all the way from New York to me.
For quite sometime I felt the need to add some reinforcement to my collection of small bags. My "weekend bags" I like to call them, the ones I wear without noticing that they are there (in terms of weight and space they take).
This cutie is a great addition and I already visualize it as part of many outfits.
Can't wait for Thursday evening!

כבר מזמן חשתי צורך לתגבר את אגף התיקים הקטנים שלי, אלה שאפשר לשים אותם על הגוף בהצלב ולא להרגיש שהם שם, "תיקי הסופ"ש", אם תרצו. והמנומר החמוד הזה הוא תוספת מבורכת.
מחכה כבר ליום חמישי בקוצר רוח!

כמה תמונות מהטיול הנפלא שעשיתי בירושלים אתמול ובאופן ספציפי בשכונת ימין משה. לא חושבת שיש משהו מקסים יותר מהשכונה הזאת, לפחות בעיני, ועל אף שהיא יחסית קטנה וניתנת למיצוי במשך פרק זמן קצר היה לי ממש קשה לעזוב. תענוג אמיתי למי שגר שם!
החלטתי ללבוש את החולצה המנוחשת הזו, שכפי הנראה תהיה שימושית מאוד גם בחורף (עם משהו ארוך מעל) ואת החצאית האדומה הנאמנה שאני משתמשת בה כל כך הרבה אבל משום מה לא הופיעה כאן בבלוג יותר מדי. אני בהחלט מתכננת לחרוש עליה גם בעונה הקרירה בשילוב עם פסים, משבצות וגווני חום בהיר למיניהם.

Had an amazing time visiting Jerusalem yesterday, and especially walking through the most lovely alleys and exploring the beautiful streets and corners of Yemin Moshe neighbourhood. Hope the images manage to convey even a particle of the enchanting atmosphere - I could seriously stay there forever!
Decided to wear my sleevess snake print (trend alert!) blouse and my faithful red skirt which I wear a lot but somehow only managed to show it here once. Don't worry it will get a ton of use, and maybe some more footage, also this winter: planning to wear it with lots of stripes, mocha and tan. Have a great Sunday!

snakes and bows

An outfit of fall favorites composed of a snake print blouse that's been coming in and out of my closet for a few weeks now and a newly found pair of pointy pumps I got for an amazing sale price a few days ago. Love them! And I guess you can definitely say I'm having a "pump moment" at the moment, and pretty much don't wanna wear on my feet anything but pumps. Maybe it's because for too many years I've been collecting every weird/unique pair of shoes known to man and yet I didn't have in my posession even a single pair of black classic pumps. No more of that!
Paired those with black shorts I call the perfect shorts because they are the best example of french design and style. For quite sometime now I have been cultivating a growing affection towards the french fashion brands: Sandro, Maje and The Kooples, and every time I get a chance (=whenever I go to Europe) I try to put my hands on an item or two from their collections. LOVE!

אאוטפיט של פייבוריטים סתויים, החל מהחולצה הזו שמככבת אצלי בארון כבר כמה שבועות טובים וכלה בנעלי העקב המופלאות האלה שאותרו בין שאריות הסיילים לפני כמה ימים וכבר נחרשות היטב. מתחילה להרגיש איזה שינוי מגמה אצלי בכל הנוגע להנעלה ואל תתפסו אותי במילה (כי תמיד יכולים להיות מקרים יוצאים מן הכלל) אבל נעליים מגושמות זה אאוט ונעלי עקב נשיות, סקסיות וקלאסיות זה לגמרי אין. כנראה שאני מחפה על שנים שבהן ליקטתי כל סוג של נעליים ידוע לאדם אבל בארון הנעליים שלי לא היה אפילו זוג pumps שחור נורמלי לרפואה.
היה לי בראש רעיון לשילוב אחר עם החולצה הזו אבל עדיין חם מדי (אולי ייצא לי להציג אותו כאן בעוד חודש חודשיים. שלושה...) ואם כבר חם, זו היתה הזדמנות נוספת ללבוש את המכנסונים השחורים שהם לטעמי לא פחות ממושלמים ומהווים דוגמה מעולה לסגנון ולעיצוב צרפתי. כבר כמה זמן שמותגי האופנה הצרפתיים sandro, maje ו-the kooples נמצאים אצלי על הכוונת בעדיפות גבוהה ובכל הזדמנות שיש לי אני מנסה להוסיף עוד פריט או שניים בעיצובם למלתחה הפרטית.

אחד מאאוטפיטי השבוע שעבר. החולצה הזאת ממש דרשה ממני לשדך אותה לחצאית הכתומה הנפלאה ששכבה כמה שנים טובות בארון אבל זכתה לעדנה מחודשת ואפילו הובהלה לרמת גן במשלוח מיוחד מחיפה. קניתי אותה בארה"ב, בטיול שאחרי הצבא והיא הייתה אז שוס גדול אבל כמו כל השוסים האופנתיים, דעכה בשלב מסוים והיתה סרוחה בארון, עד לקאמבק שהופיע בצורת טרנד ה-colorblocking. אם כי נראה לי שלקחתי אותה לכיוון קצת אחר.
אה, ולגבי אורך החצאית שהתארך בפוסטים האחרונים - עוד לא הייתי מזעיקה את התקשורת, כמו שאומרים - סתם כמה נסיונות בטריטוריה לא נודעת, עוד מוקדם להבין לאן זה יוביל.

One of my outfits from last week. This blouse really demanded me to wear it with this lovely orange skirt which laid around in my closet for about... a decade!! I got it in NYC while I was on a trip to the US back then and it was a big hit, but like all big fashion hits found its way to the back of the closet for a few years. And then got rediscovered and had a great comeback thanks to the SS2011 colorblocking trend. But I think I took it to another direction...I also continue exploring longer skirt lengths - let's see where that's gonna lead us. Interesting!

זוכרים את האאוטפיט בפוסט הזה? ובכן, חזרתי עליו גם בסופ"ש האחרון והנה תיעוד של המלבושים באוויר הפתוח, כפי שהבטחתי. התיק היומיומי הגדול הוחלף בתיק צד קטן ומתאים לשעות אחה"צ והערב בהן לא צריך לשאת את כל הפקלאות, אם כי גוון התיק נשמר פחות או יותר.
כפי שציינתי בפוסט הקודם אפשר לראות בתלבושת הזו דוגמה לטרנד ה-color blocking, בתוספת קמצוץ של הדפס מנומר לתיבול (אתם לא חושבים שהכל הרבה יותר "טעים" עם קצת נימור?), שפתיים באדום לוהט ומשקפיים עגולים. מתכון מנצח ומשמח בספר שלי.

Remember the outfit on that post? Well, I decided to repeat it this weekend and took some photos of it outside, in the fresh air. This time I decided to swich the big work-day bag with a small purse, but stayed in the same color area.
As I mentioned in that previous post, you can see this outfit as an example of the color blocking trend, with a pinch of leopard (everything "tastes" better with a hint of animal print, don't you think?), red hot lips and rounded sunnies. Really liked that one, I guess I'll repeat it again...

שמחתי לקבל השבוע עותק של הספר "Style Yourself" בו אני נמנית על בלוגרי האופנה המובילים בעולם - או זה לפחות מה שאומרת הכותרת - אשר מדגימים טרנדים נבחרים וסגנונות אופנתיים ראויים לציון. אני ספציפית מדגימה שם את הטרנד המנומר. ררררר......
הספר הוא למעשה אסופה של תמונות מ-95 בלוגי אופנה מוכרים, בצירוף ציטוטים והגיגים והוא משובץ בכפולות עמודים שבהן מקוטלגות דוגמאות מאוירות של פריטי לבוש שונים: שמלות, נעליים, חצאיות, תיקים וכד'. הכפולות האלה מצאו חן בעיני מאחר והן כוללות דוגמאות רבות בצירוף שמותיהן באנגלית מה שעוזר לחדד עוד קצת את הז'רגון האופנתי הדי מחודד, ואני בטוחה שעוד יביא פירות מצוינים לשיטוטים באיביי (תמיד אמרתי שבשביל למצוא דברים טובים באיביי צריך בראש ובראשונה לדעת אנגלית).

זה מה שלבשתי באחד מימי השבוע האחרון. חבר טוב לעבודה, בחור עם שיק ותעוזה אופנתית, לא יכול היה להתעלם מהמכנסיים והעיר בשנינות: "שמעתי שתפסו השבוע את ראש הנחש של אל-קאעידה, אבל לא ידעתי שאת קיבלת את השאריות..." סטוגודוש!
ההדפס החייתי הזה הוא אחד מהמרעננים הרשמיים של המלתחה שלי (יש שיאמרו הגרסה הקייצית והקלה למנומר?), שעוברת ללא ספק תקופה קשקשית משהו - ראו ערך הפוסט הקודם - מינוס הארס, ובלי שאף יצור הזוחל על גחונו יצטרך לקפח את חייו לטובת הלוק.

This is what I wore to work a few days ago. Definitely grabbed some attention and got a couple of witty remarks, but it's totally cool with me and besides I'm so so in love with snake print at the moment.
My closet is going through some kind of reptilian phase, as you can see in the previous post, minus the venom and without any actual snakes having to pay for the fashionable lust with their own skin... I have a few more outfit ideas for these pants, maybe I'll get to show them in future posts.

אאוטפיט קז'ואלי וכייפי שמעלה חיוך על פני בכל פעם שאני לובשת אותו, בין אם מתווסף אליו צעיף אפור או אדום סרוג בסריגה גסה, או ווסט דמוי פרווה בתור שכבה עליונה כשממש נהיה קריר. התחלתי לפזול קלות אל עבר אופנת הקיץ הקרב אבל אני עדיין ממש לא שם, מסרבת לתכנן תוכניות ולפצוח במסע קניות מקדים ומתעקשת להנות מהרגע ולהרכיב תלבושות רב שכבתיות עד כמה שרק אפשר!

Casual and fun outfit that puts a smile on my face every time I wear it, whether it is combined with a chunky red or grey knitted scarf, and whether it is topped off with a certain faux fur vest. Started slowly gravitating towards summer trends but I'm definitely not there yet, refusing to make any plans or shop in advance, and insisting on enjoing the moment and making as many multiple layer outfits as I can (before summer hits)!

טוב אז אם ב"מלבושים שלא היו" עסקינן, הנה עוד אאוטפיט, הפעם כזה שיועד להיות הכסות האופנתית שלי לערב ראש השנה האזרחית החדשה והוחלף בסופו של דבר בפיג'מת פלאנל ובשמיכת פוך. גם כוס השמפניה הוחלפה בספל תה, התיק בשקית מלאה בטישואים וכן הלאה, בואו נעצור כאן אני מעדיפה לא לחזור לאותו סופ"ש... :)
עם זאת, כמובן שלא התייאשתי ולא ויתרתי לחלוטין על העניין והחלטתי לשחזר את התלבושת בעיתוי אחר. ערב ראש השנה האזרחית או לא, זה באמת לא משנה - כי אם את חמושה בצווארון מעוגל, גרביונים מנוקדים ושלל דיטיילים וכיווצים יפהפיים בשמלה, כל שאר הדברים כבר ימצאו את מקומם הנכון בדרך זו או אחרת!

Ok, so if we were on the subject of outfits that never existed, here's another example - this time of a small collection of garments that was designated to be my new year's eve attire. That was before I became sick, and the whole get-up was replaced by flannel pajamas. The Champagne glass was switched with a tea cup, the lovely bag with a bag of tissues and so on. no need to repeat... :)
But, of course I hadn't given up on the outfit and decided to wear it for another occasion. New year's eve or not - it doesn't really matter, 'cause if you're wearing a peter pan collar, polka dot tights and a dress with adorable pleats, everything else will surely fall into it's right place in some way or another.

מנסה בכל מאודי למצוא פינות ורגעים של סתיו ומבחינתי העובדה שלבשתי ביום ראשון בנוחות ובנעימים גרביונים מבוקר ועד ערב מהווה הצלחה מסחררת. עם זאת אני עמוסה בהשראות וברעיונות לחורף, הכוללים מעילים, סריגי צמר עבים, דמויי פרוות בצורות שונות והרבה שכבות, אז אני מרגישה רחוקה מלבוא על סיפוקי האופנתי וכל הצצה באיזור החורפי של הארון מסתכמת במבטי ערגה ובתחושת ציפייה עזה.
בחרתי ללבוש כאן שילוב צבעים שאני מאוד אוהבת עם טאץ' קטן אך הכרחי מבחינתי של מנומר - ובזאת סגרתי את הפינה החסרה של חגורה מנומרת במלתחתי. מומלץ בחום (וגם בקור)! החגורה הזאת היתה ב-wishlist הפרקטי והמחושב שלי (יש לי כמה), אם יכול להיות wishlist שכזה, והיא כבר בדרך להשלמת ייעודה כאקססורי מרכזי. הנעליים ממשיכות מהחורף הקודם ויחד עם מכנסי הסקיני העשויים מעין קטיפה, נותנות תחושה חורפית - מה שנקרא, לחיות בלי ולהרגיש עם...

Trying my best to find places and moments of autumn out there (in this measly Israeli "autumn"), and the fact that I wore tight all throughout Sunday is considered a huge success for me. But still, I'm so filled with ideas and inspiration for winter, which include coats, thick wool knits, faux fur items and lots of layers, so I feel pretty unsatisfied fashion wise.
Wearing here a favorite color combination, with the extra fun touch of the leopard print belt. I finally crossed the "leopard skinny belt" line out of my wishlist and I'm sure it's going to become a wardrobe staple in no time. The shoes are making a comeback from last winter and with those velvety skinny pants give me a winter-y feel, even if no winter is in sight.

winter thoughts

כמה תמונות שסרקתי מהפקת אופנה שהתפרסמה בגיליון אוגוסט 2010 של המגזין Harper's Bazaar. בהפקה מוצגים פריטי המפתח לחורף הקרוב (דילגתי על ג'קט אופנוענים מעור ועל ה-peacoat השחור, עמכם הסליחה) אשר בהחלט יכולים להוות מלתחת חורף קלאסית ושימושית. נו טוב, סביר להניח שכותבת שורות אלה לא תוכל להסתפק רק בזה, אבל זו התחלה טובה.
קראש רציני על המכנסיים מהלוק השני - לא יזיק להלביש אותם על זוג רגליים שלא נגמרות, אבל נראה לי שגם מי שלא מצוידת בכאלה תוכל להשיג אשליה דומה באמצעות גזרה גבוהה ובשילוב עם מגפונים בצבע זהה לצבע המכנסיים.
וחליפת טרנינג מעולם לא משכה אותי כל כך כמו זו המוצגת כאן...

Here are a few photos I scanned from an editorial featured in the Auguat issue of Harper's Bazaar. This editorial features the key items for the upcoming winter (I skipped the leather jacket and black peacoat), which definitely make a good useable and classic winter wardrobe. Well, as I know myself, I guess I will not do with just the key items, but this can be a good start.
Huge crush on the pants from the second look, wouldn't hurt if you also have legs-for-days to go along with them, but also if you don't I think a similar silhuette could be achieved with a high waist pant + same colored booties.
Oh, and a sweat suit never looked better...
