it's raining, hallelujah

Snapped these images just before a serious downpour hit, so it was the perfect timing to run around with my new transparent umbrella (which I've been looking for for ages!) without getting wet buy still having a winter feeling.
So... got this umbrella in Paris, I wanted a clear one that will match any outfit and also won't block my view and found it in a random Parisian gift shop for a few euros, I knew I was definitely taking it home with me and now it is my absolute favorite umbrella. The search is over.
This time I was wearing a plaid blouse with white collar and bow tie (can't get enough of plaid/contrasting collars/ties), and some forest green pants. Initially I was also wearing an old trench coat but eventually took it off... add some suede oxfords and my new beloved bag and it was the perfectly well dressed but laid back kind of outfit.

תגידו שלום למטרייה השקופה החדשה שלי! חיפשתי אחרי אחת כזו כבר המון זמן ופיספסתי כמה הזדמנויות (כמו המטרייה השקופה שנקרתה בדרכי בזארה באמצע יולי. ממש לא זמן לקנות מטריות) וגם ויתרתי על כמה, כאשר לא הסכמתי לשלם דמי משלוח אשר גבוהים מעלות הפריט (ביי ביי למטריות השקופות באיביי). לבסוף הנבחרת נמצאה בחנות מזכרות הכי פושטית בפריז ונרכשה בעבור כמה מטבעות של יורו בשמחה רבה. המשלוח עליי.

הפעם הלכתי על תלבושת בצבעים עמוקים וחורפיים למדי, עם זאת עדיין צבעונית ומשובבת לב הכוללת חולצה משובצת עם צווארון לבן ועניבת פפיון ומכנסיים בגוון ירוק יער. אני חושבת שאני הולכת לקראת שבירת שיא גינס בתחום של איסוף חולצות משובצות החורף. הוספתי גם מעיל טרנץ' חום שלא לבשתי הרבה זמן ונראה לי פתאום מאוד מתאים ונעלי אוקספורד חומות. התלבושת המושלמת ליום גשום.

snakes and bows

An outfit of fall favorites composed of a snake print blouse that's been coming in and out of my closet for a few weeks now and a newly found pair of pointy pumps I got for an amazing sale price a few days ago. Love them! And I guess you can definitely say I'm having a "pump moment" at the moment, and pretty much don't wanna wear on my feet anything but pumps. Maybe it's because for too many years I've been collecting every weird/unique pair of shoes known to man and yet I didn't have in my posession even a single pair of black classic pumps. No more of that!
Paired those with black shorts I call the perfect shorts because they are the best example of french design and style. For quite sometime now I have been cultivating a growing affection towards the french fashion brands: Sandro, Maje and The Kooples, and every time I get a chance (=whenever I go to Europe) I try to put my hands on an item or two from their collections. LOVE!

אאוטפיט של פייבוריטים סתויים, החל מהחולצה הזו שמככבת אצלי בארון כבר כמה שבועות טובים וכלה בנעלי העקב המופלאות האלה שאותרו בין שאריות הסיילים לפני כמה ימים וכבר נחרשות היטב. מתחילה להרגיש איזה שינוי מגמה אצלי בכל הנוגע להנעלה ואל תתפסו אותי במילה (כי תמיד יכולים להיות מקרים יוצאים מן הכלל) אבל נעליים מגושמות זה אאוט ונעלי עקב נשיות, סקסיות וקלאסיות זה לגמרי אין. כנראה שאני מחפה על שנים שבהן ליקטתי כל סוג של נעליים ידוע לאדם אבל בארון הנעליים שלי לא היה אפילו זוג pumps שחור נורמלי לרפואה.
היה לי בראש רעיון לשילוב אחר עם החולצה הזו אבל עדיין חם מדי (אולי ייצא לי להציג אותו כאן בעוד חודש חודשיים. שלושה...) ואם כבר חם, זו היתה הזדמנות נוספת ללבוש את המכנסונים השחורים שהם לטעמי לא פחות ממושלמים ומהווים דוגמה מעולה לסגנון ולעיצוב צרפתי. כבר כמה זמן שמותגי האופנה הצרפתיים sandro, maje ו-the kooples נמצאים אצלי על הכוונת בעדיפות גבוהה ובכל הזדמנות שיש לי אני מנסה להוסיף עוד פריט או שניים בעיצובם למלתחה הפרטית.

והנה חלקה השני והמובטח של תצוגת התכלית האופנתית בשחור ובלבן!
אפשר לומר שהשמלה היא הגרסה הבוגרת והמיושבת של השמלה הזו או שאולי הווריאציה ה"מחויטת" של השמלה האהובה ההיא. בכל מקרה ואיך שלא תראו זאת המסקנה המתבקשת היא שכנראה שלעולם לא יהיו לי בארון מספיק שמלות תחרה...(הן כל כך שונות!).
הוספתי לשמלה את התוספות ההגיוניות ביותר וכאלה שלא מצריכות מחשבה מאומצת (לפעמים גם לי בא לזרוק ז**): תיק בינוני ונעלי עקב קלאסיות בשחור - החגורה הדקה כבר הגיעה עם השמלה - ויצאתי אל סופת הרוחות שהשתוללה בחוץ.

And here's the other half of my display in black and white. You can say that the dress I'm wearing here is the "grown-up" version of this dress, or the tailored version of that dress. Either way, the reasonable conclusion is that I can never have enough lacy little numbers in my wardrobe.
Paired it with the classic and no-brainer additions that are my alexa bag, black leather pumps (love this pair!) and cute little bow cuff - black patent belt already came with the dress - and there you have it.

another day in my life

כמה רגעים שתועדו אתמול במהלך היום. הלכתי על אאוטפיט חמוד ואביבי, שהוא מעין ההופכי לאאוטפיט שנראה בפוסט הזה - שילוב צבעים פסטלי ונעים שחביב עלי מאוד ושהושלם בצורה אידאלית על ידי נעלי הפפיונים, המתוקות והמתאימות לשילובים אופנתיים רבים, שקיבלתי במתנה מקאלה בשנה שעברה. סופ"ש נעים!

עוד סופ"ש חיפאי עבר על כוחותינו והפעם חלק ממנו עבר בטיול נחמד בשדרה חיפאית פסטורלית. פעמים רבות, כשאני מתבוננת בצילומי אופנת רחוב שצולמו באירופה אני אפילו יותר מתלהבת מהשדרות הרחבות והמקסימות בהן הם צולמו מאשר מהבגדים (נו טוב, אני מתלהבת גם מהבגדים, זה די תחרות...). לכן אתם יכולים לנחש מה רבה היתה שמחתי כאשר גיליתי את השדרה הזאת - מקומות כאלה משרים עלי מצב רוח טוב!
כפי שעיניכם רואות, אני לבושה בכמה פריטים מתוך רשימת פריטי החובה שלי לקיץ שפירסמתי כאן לא מזמן. כן כן, מסתבר שלא סתם קישקשתי לכם, אני בהחלט מיישמת את מה שכתבתי במלתחתי הפרטית והחולצה והחצאית הזו נחשבות בעיני פריטי מפתח, אפילו בייסיקיים לקיץ שהולכים טוב עם אינספור דברים אחרים.
פריט חדש ומעניין במלתחה וקייצי להפליא הוא התיק הוורדרד הזה של Furla שזכיתי להתחדש בו בחנות התל אביבית Top Labels For Less. לא מזמן התוודעתי לחנות ושמחתי לגלות שהיא מעין אאוטלט של פריטי מעצבים שחשבתי שכמותו ניתן למצוא רק מחוץ לגבולות המדינה. מסתבר שאת כרטיס הטיסה ליעד האירופאי המבוקש אפשר להמיר בכרטיס רכבת (במקרה שלי) ועוד נסיעה קצרצרה לפאתי נווה צדק, רח' המרד 25, ליתר דיוק, מביאה אותך הישר למשכן פריטי מעצבים בהנחות ניכרות. הנה כמה תמונות שצילמתי בחנות:

Another weekend was spent in Haifa, this time a part of it was spent on a stroll in a quiet boulevard. Many times, when I look at street style photos from various European cities I'm even more excited about the locations and the beautiful boulevards, than of the clothes (well, ok, I'm pretty excited about the clothes too, it's kind of a toss up between the two...). So you can guess how happy I was to find this boulevard in my home town - these kind of places make me feel good!
As you can see, I'm wearing a few items from the must-have list I posted here not long ago. So I wasn't just babbling - I apply what I write here in my own wardrobe and this skirt and blouse are absolute basics for summer im my opinion, they go along great with tons of other stuff.
A new item in my wardrobe, and a very interesting one, is this dusty pink Furla bag which I recevied at the Top Labels for Less store in Tel Aviv. I found out about this store, which is kind of a discount designer outlet, not long ago and I was happy to discover that there is such a place in Israel. Usually I search these places when I go abroad so it's nice to have one just under my nose... I added above some pictures I took while I was there.

חולצה וז'קט H&M, חצאית Urban Outfitters, נעליים באדיבות קאלה, שרשרת קסטרו (מלפני כמה שנים)



זה האאוטפיט הבסיסי שלי, אם אפשר לכנות זאת כך, כזה שהינו יומיומי ונינוח ועם זאת מסודר. אאוטפיט מסוג זה, גם אם אינו זהה לזה המצולם כאן בדיוק (יש כל מיני וריאציות), מורכב לרוב מחולצה אוורירית חצי שקופה, חצאית מעניינת וז'קט יחסית קל ומקופל שרוולים שינצח על כל הסיפור בכבוד. הנעליים כמובן משתנות בהתאם לצבעוניות ולמצב הרוח.
הגעתי למסקנה שחולצה מהסוג הנ"ל מתפקדת אצלי במלתחה על תקן טי-שירט, ומאחר ואני לא טיפוס של טי-שרטים (כבר דיסקסנו על זה בעבר) זו האלטרנטיבה שלי לעניין, שמשמשת אותי בתור אותו פריט אופנה בסיסי שאפשר להוסיף לו מגוון רחב של חלקים תחתונים וז'קטים. יש ברשותי משהו כמו 3-4 כאלה (בצבעים לבן, קרם, וורדרד) והן נמצאות ברוטציה קבועה כמעט בכל שבוע.
עוד משהו קבוע, לפחות בשבועות האחרונים, הוא הטיולים שלי ברחבי השכונה ומציאת גינות פורחות וקסומות (בקרוב אני מוציאה מדריך גינות חיפאיות! סתם....). זאת גינת החמד האחרונה שמצאתי, ממש מעבר לפינה, ואני מקווה שהאווירה הפסטורלית שלה עוברת ולו במעט בתמונות.

This is my 'basic outfit', if you can call it that, an outfit which is casual yet dressed and neat. This kind of outfit is usually composed of a breezy semi-sheer top, interesting skirt and a light jacket with folded sleeves. The shoes vary according to the color pallet and my mood.
I've come to the conclusion that this kind of blouse functions in my wardrobe and in my private fashion world as a t-shirt. As you all probably know by now, I'm not really a t-shirt person and this is my alternative for it. I have about 3-4 blouses of this kind (in white, cream and light pink) which are certainly my 'go-to' items. I can easily pull each one out of the closet and wear it with almost any bottom and jacket, therefore I use them almost every week.
Another thing I do almost every week recently is take a walk around my neighbourhood in search of cute gardens. This is the last lovely garden I found, just around the corner and I'm very happy to share it with you! Hope you have a pleasant weekend!

ולנטיינ'ז שמלנטיינ'ז

אף פעם לא הייתי חובבת גדולה של חג האוהבים הידוע בכינויו Valentine's Day. אולי זה בגלל שאני אחת הבחורות הפחות רומנטיקניות במדינת ישראל (מתנת האוהבים האידאלית מבחינתי היא שישייה של מים מינרליים + סחיבה עד הבית. זאת אהבה!) וגם בגלל שזהו בעיני חג קיטשי ומסחרי לחלוטין שכל מנהגיו סובבים סביב קניית שטויות שאנשים לא צריכים. חוץ מממתקים, ממתקים תמיד צריך.
מלבד זאת, כשאתה לבד, חג האוהבים נראה כמו קנונייה אחת גדולה של כל הזוגות בעולם לגרום לך להרגיש עוד יותר דפוק שאתה לבד. מה זאת האפליה הזאת לעזאזל?! אני לא רואה את פסח מפלה בין האנשים... בקיצור, כפי שאתם מבינים החג הזה לא צבר אצלי נקודות זכות רבות. וגם כשאני במצב צבירה זוגי, כמו עכשיו, אני טורחת לעדכן את בן הזוג שלי שמיותר לחלוטין לקנות לי מתנות מתקתקות (מה אני אמורה לעשות עם דובי בגילי המופלג? או עם בלון הליום?) ושאם הוא ממש מתעקש על פריט אדום ורומנטי אז היצירה הזאת יכולה להיות אלטרנטיבה טובה.
ולאחר הפתיחה הלא ממש מפרגנת, בכל זאת החלטתי לעשות פוסט אדום שכולו צועק וולנטיינ'ז. ולמה, תשאלו. ובכן, גם קצת בתור פרודיה וגם כי עודף מתקתקות עוד לא הרג אף אחד. אולי כמו סדנת יוגה צחוק, שבה מתחילים בצחוק מזויף ומלאכותי שהופך אט אט לצחוק אמיתי הממלא את כל הגוף, כך גם התעטפות בצבע אדום בוהק ומבחר סמלי של סממני החג יכולה לגרום לתחושה חמימה ואוהבת ולייצר מצב רוח טוב.
לכן, אחרי השבוע המייגע והמאכזב משהו שעבר על כוחותינו (+הבשורה המרה הזאת) אני חושבת שאין בכך שום דבר רע.

I have never been a big fan of Valentine's Day. Maybe it's because I am one of the less romantic ladies in Israel and also because I think this is a totally kitschy and commercial holiday, in which the main purpose is to purchase things that nobody needs. Except for candy. Everybody needs candy.

Other than that, when you have no partner, Valentine's day seems like some kind of conspiracy of all the couples against all the people who are not in a couple. This is one huge discrimination! And I don't see Passover or any other holiday discriminating between people...
Also when I am in my "couple-mode", such as now, I make sure that my boyfriend knows it is totally unnecessary to buy me kitschy presents (what am I supposed to do with a teddy bear in my old age? or a helium baloon?), and if he really insists on getting me something red, then this little creation is a good alternative.
But still, after all this very unfavoring introduction, I have decided to make an all red post, which screams Valentine's. And why is that, you may ask? Well, first of all as a bit of a parody and secondly, since some extra sweetness hasn't killed anyone. Like in a laughter yoga workshop, which starts with a fake laugh, slowly turning into genuine laughter that fills your whole body, wrapping oneself in fire-engine red and decorating oneself with a few of the holidays' main characteristics can make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

And after the exhausting and somewhat disappointing week I've had (+ these unfortunate news), it is not such a bad idea.
