snow leopard

In the pictures above I was starting to run a fever, didn't know it back at the moment when I was taking these, on my way to Friday night dinner. A dinner which I finished on the couch, covered in a blanket and shivering... Man it was an awefull illness, thank god it's behind me. And let's talk some fashion.
Started to really like the combination of leopard print and white. I'm wearing a lot of white every summer, and this summer in particular (even on my feet!) but this great combination just recently occured to me.
I'm wearing here a favorite old leopard tee, a very useful white skirt which I got in the begining of the summer and can't get enough of, and a hint of turquoise. Which is always a great addition to leopard.

התמונות שלמעלה צולמו רגע לפני ה"סערה", כשכנראה כבר התחלתי להעלות חום אבל לא שמתי לב לכך/התכחשתי. צילמנו על הדרך לארוחת שישי בערב, שאותה סיימתי על הספה מכוסה בשמיכה ועם צמרמורות אימתניות שלא הותירו ספק שאני חולה.
למרבה המזל הסיוט הזה סוף סוף מאחורי ואפשר להתעסק קצת באופנה: אני לובשת כאן שילוב שהפך להיות אחד החביבים עלי: מנומר + לבן. בדרך כלל בקיץ, ובייחוד בקיץ האחרון אני לובשת הרבה לבן, אבל רק בעונה הנוכחית נפל לי האסימון שהשילוב בין המנומר ללבן יכול להיות נהדר.
החולצה היא מחביבות המלתחה, תמיד גוררת תגובות ותשבוחות על התעוזה שלי ללבוש מנומר והחצאית היא אחת מלהיטי הקיץ שנרכשה בתחילתו וכבר מזמן החזירה את ההשקעה עקב לבישות חוזרות ונשנות.

זה אאוטפיט שהיה צריך להופיע כאן כבר מזמן, בגרסה החורפית שלו (כן, יש גם אחת כזו), אבל משום מה לא יצא אז הנה אני מתקנת את המעוות. אני חובבת גדולה של שילובי הדפסים וזה אחד המגניבים ביניהם - לטעמי מנומר ונקודות הולכים נהדר זה לצד זה (עוד התייחסות לכך בפוסט הזה) ועם קמצוץ של טורקיז אז בכלל...
ובלי קשר לשני ההדפסים הנ"ל, שמתי לב שאני מגלה עניין ושואבת סיפוק רב מהרכבת תלבושות בעלות שני חלקים, יותר מאשר לבישת שמלות. הרי בינינו, לזרוק על עצמך שמלה זה לא הדבר הכי מאתגר בעולם ולעיתים מאוד משמים (תלוי בשמלה) ולאור מזג האוויר המגביל אופנתית אשר לא ממש מאפשר לי את חגיגת השכבות והג'קטים שאני מפנטזת עליה מדי יום, לכל הפחות אני מפתחת מיומנויות בתחום שילוב פריטים נפרדים (תרגום חופשי ומעפן ל-separates).

This is an outfit that should have been posted here a long time ago, in its winter version (yes, there is also one of that) but for some reason it just didn't happen so finally here goes... I'm a huge fan of print mixing, and think that leopard and polkadots go great together (here's another refrence). Well actually leopard goes great together with everything...
And with no relation to prints, I love this outfit since it is based on separates. In the super hot weather of the Israeli summer layering is really not an option (so sad about that!) so I basically can only be creative in mixing seperates and using accessories, therefore I try to do that more than just wearing plain dresses. Hope you're enjoying your summer and living in a climate that is "layering-friendly"!

חולצת ג'ינס (ישנה) קסטרו, מכנסי ג'ינס ארוכים מהשנה שעברה שהפכו לשורטס זארה

אני חושבת שכבר הבעתי כאן את חיבתי העזה למראה הג'ינס הכפול יותר מפעם אחת. ואם לא, עמכם הסליחה, זאת בהחלט קומבינציה שמסתובבת לי בראש ועל הגוף תקופה לא קצרה. נראה לי שכבר הכל, או כמעט הכל נכתב על המראה הזה בבלוגי אופנה ובמגזינים ומי שעדיין לא מעודכנת או שלא עיכלה את העניין יכולה למצוא עוד תימוכין כאן, כאן (ממליצה להסתכל על עוד מראות מהתצוגה) וכאן (זה רק ביס מהתצוגות של קיץ 2010, לא חסרות עוד הרבה דוגמאות).
את האאוטפיט הזה הרכבתי מפריטים שיש כבר ברשותי: החולצה הזאת היא אחת מהאהובות בארון, מזכירה לי איזו תקופה נשכחת ומהנה שחלפה לה מזמן ועם כל שנה ולבישה שעוברת היא הופכת למהוהה יותר ויותר ואין נחמד מזה! כשמדובר בפריט מג'ינס, כמובן.. המכנסיים הם עוד ג'ינס ארוך שהקריב את עצמו על מנת שיהיו לי שורטס ראויים לקיץ.
מה שנחמד במראה ה-double denim הוא שהמראה קייצי, קליל וקז'ואלי ואפשר ליישם אותו בערך עם כל פריט ג'ינס שיש כבר בארון: חצאית, מכנסיים ארוכים, אוברול, טוניקה, שורטס - כיד הדמיון הטובה, וכמובן שאפשר (ורצוי, אם יש לכם קרובים סבלניים) לפלח איזה פריט מהארון של בן הזוג ליצירת מראה בויפרנד, או של אמא או אחות.
עכשיו ברשותכם, אני הולכת להמשיך ולארוז את הדירה שלי, שיהיה לכולם ערב מעולה!

I think I have already expressed here my deep affection to the double denim look, even more than once. And if I haven't, please excuse me, this is a combination that is going around in my head and on my body for quite sometime now.
I think that everything or almost everything had been written on this look in fashion blogs and magazines, but if any of you is still not updated or looks for more reference, you can find it here, here, and here (and that's just a small fraction of the spring-summer 2010 runway looks, there are lots of examples).
This outfit is made of items I've had for quite sometime in my closet: the denim blouse is one of my alltime favorites. It reminds me of a fun period a long time ago and it gets even better with every wear and with each year that goes by. Worn out denim is great! The shorts were a(nother) long pair of jeans that I cut up for summmer.
What's great about double denim look is that you can create it with just about any denim items you have: skirts, overalls, blouses, tunics, shorts... And you can even borrow an item from your partner's closet in order to create the boyfriend look.. or borrow one from your mom's or sister's...
