denim vest and camo skirt

This is not what I wore today.
Unfortunately I did not wear something much lighter and had to perspire (sorry!) my way through Tel-Aviv this morning.
It was about 26 degrees today here, can you believe it?? In the middle of February.

Don't envy us. Or, maybe you can. At least something good should come out of this.
So this is what I wore a few weeks ago, pretty basic and self explanatory. I guess I was feeling blue, but could not get dressed without a cute print and some fluffy texture action on the lapel.

זה מה שלא לבשתי היום.
אבל לצערי לא לבשתי משהו קליל בהרבה, ובעודי הולכת ברחוב קפלן הפסטורלי בת"א קיללתי את עצמי שוב ושוב.
למה?
כי היה לי חם בטירוף!
וגם כי אני עושה ייחוס פנימי לכשלונות וחיצוני להצלחות, שזה, על פי תיאוריות בחקר האושר, ההיפך הגמור ממה שאנשים צריכים לעשות ע"מ להיות מאושרים.
אני סוטה.

דווקא הייתי די מאושרת באאוטפיט הזה כשהטמפרטורה בחוץ היתה, מממ, נאמר 16 מעלות.
אולי אמחזר אותו בסופ"ש הקרוב.
סה"כ נוסחה די פשוטה - אאוטפיט שמתבסס על טהרת הכחול, וכמובן שאי אפשר היה בלי הדפס שובב וטקסטורה פלאפית לקינוח.

winds of war

We might be experiencing a little war situation in our back yard soon (Again! what is up with this crazzzzzay middle east area? huh?!) so I thought I'd make a nice post for the occasion.

If you haven't caught up with the news yet, it's probable that there will be an american attack in Syria, in the next 48 hours, if I may take a guess.
As a result of that there might (or might not) be missiles fired at Israel from both our "lovely" neighbours from the north - Syria and Lebanon.

Why? because Israel is to blame in everthing! don't you know that already? Even if we have no connection to anything it is our fault, of course. Assad killing his own people with gas? Let's blame Israel.
So, the next time you spill some coffee on your shirt, or miss the bus to work, you can definitely say: "This is Israel's fault".
I hope it will make you feel better. As we, obviously, really don't care.

Anyways, I'm kinda sick and tired of this shit and just want to be over with it, so I did my favorite online window shopping activity and found some war appropriate stuff. These are pretty awesome and I'm sure we'll be able to use these great pieces also in times of peace. Peace out.

אני מהמרת שמתישהוא ב-48 השעות הקרובות כי לאחר מכן ההכרזה של אובמה תתחיל להתמסמס ותהיה כבר חדשות ישנות.

אז, לאור המצב והעובדה שאולי (ואולי לא) יתחילו להישמע פה הזעקות ולהתעופף טילים (בלי לחץ, היינו כבר בסרט הזה והתמודדנו יפה) החלטתי להפיג את המתח באמצעות הפעילות החביבה עלי, הלא היא "וינדואו שופינג אונליין" ומצאתי כמה פריטים שווים במיוחד שיהלמו את הסיטואציה ויעניקו לנו שיק בעתות מלחמה. וגם בעתות שלום.
בייחוד התיק הזה של פיליפ לים. רק בשבילו הייתי מכריזה על מלחמה.

mirror mirror on my nose

Another fun and casual weekend outfit. I promise you the next outfit post will be more "tailored". And I can easily promise that since we already took pictures of it...
This is how I usually like to dress during the weekend and during my (very little) free time: wear something comfy and colorful.
I have had this scarf for almost a decade, and it instantly gives me good mood when I put it on. This time it matched perfectly with my new mirrored sunglasses, which I fell head over heels for, and managed to wait two whole days from the moment I first laid eyes on them to the moment I finally got them. #fashiongirlproblem
And ever since we got together, the world is so pretty, happy, full of opportunities, and looks beautiful in pink neon colors.
What can I say? Sometimes you gotta look at the world through colored lenses.

עוד מראה קז'ואלי וכיפי לסופ"ש. מבטיחה שהלוק הבא יהיה יותר "מעונב" (ברור, כי כבר צילמתי אותו).
אלה סוג התלבושות אליהן אני נוטה בדרך כלל בסופי שבוע ובזמני הפנוי, שלא מצוי בשפע, אבל אני מנסה לנצל אותו ולעשות אותו יותר נעים באמצעות שילובי צבעים והדפסים לא שגרתיים.
הצעיף הזה נמצא ברשותי כבר כמעט עשור, ותמיד עושה לי מצברוח טוב כשאני מתעטפת בו. הפעם הוא התאים בול לזוג משקפי השמש החדשים שהתאהבתי בהם נואשות והצלחתי להחזיק מעמד יומיים תמימים (!) מהרגע שראיתי אותם לראשונה, עד שראיתי אותם נחים על האף שלי. מקווה שאין לכם ספק שהופגן פה איפוק רב.
ומאז שהתאחדנו העולם כולו יפה, שמח, מלא הזדמנויות, וצבוע בצבעי ניאון ורודים זרחניים.
אולי זה בגלל העדשות הצבעוניות.
ואולי לא ;)

So, a long time ago I have mentioned here that olive green is the new grey... and ever since I have worn this color and other army inspired garments numerous times (here, here and here just to mention a few). And I still can't get enough of it!
Lovely and mature color that can be a great backdrop for more fluorescent and bold colors. goes great with just about anything and can tone down and edge up a too-dressy-outfit and give it just the right amount of cool. Love it!

למי שזוכר, לפני די הרבה זמן הצהרתי כאן שירוק זית הוא האפור החדש... ומאז לבשתי את הצבע הזה ושאר פריטים בהשראה ובצבעוניות צבאית אינספור פעמים (לדוגמא: בפוסט הזה, בפוסט ההוא, וגם כאן. וזה לא הכל) וממש לא מיציתי. נהפוך הוא, התשוקה לפריטים צבאיים ממשיכה!
הגוון הירקרק הוא צבע נהדר ובוגר שיכול לשמש כרקע נייטרלי והולם לצבעים נועזים וזרחניים יותר. הוא מתאים כמעט לכל דבר - ניסיתי - ויכול למתן כל אאוטפיט שנראה מתלהב או מתאמץ מדי ולספק לו את מקדם המגניבות והקוליות הדרוש. לא פחות ממושלם!
לפיכך אספתי כמה רעיונות והשראות לשילוב הגוון והסגנון הצבאי במלתחה, חלקן מארוני הפרטי וחלקן לא. תהנו!

not so camo

This is my "not so camo" outfit: pretty conspicuous and crazy, for an outfit consisting of a camouflage garment, and I'm pretty sure I'm breaking here a fashion rule or two ("don't wear green with red" ?) but I don't mind since it's casual and fun.
The red pants are a deeper shade of red in reality and are actually a part of my ongoing campaign to bring new life to my trouser and denim wardrobe and add some interesting and bold colors to it, also known as "operation happy pants".

לפניכם אאוטפיט שכולל את אחד ההדפסים האהובים עלי בעולם כולו - הדפס הסוואה צבאי, אך אין בו שום דבר מן ההסוואה, אולי אפילו להיפך (נסו להסוות את עצמכם בתוך מכנסיים באדום לוהט).
אני לא יודעת מה בדיוק הביא אותי לשלב אדום וירוק באותה תלבושת, ואני די בטוחה שבאיזשהוא ספר אופנה יש חוקים ברורים ונוקשים נגד השילוב הזה, אבל איכשהוא זה פשוט נראה לי נכון. מזל שקונוטציות של עץ אשוח ודימויי חג המולד אינם נפוצים במחוזותינו...
המכנסיים האדומים הם בעצם קצת יותר אדומים במציאות והינם חלק ממסע מתמשך לרענון אגף המכנסיים בארון לאור אי אלו שינויים במידה ובעיקר עקב הרצון והשאיפה לתגבר את מלתחת המכנסיים בצבעוניות ולהעלות את המורל המכנסי, תחת שם הקוד: "operation happy pants".
