In the pictures above I was starting to run a fever, didn't know it back at the moment when I was taking these, on my way to Friday night dinner. A dinner which I finished on the couch, covered in a blanket and shivering... Man it was an awefull illness, thank god it's behind me. And let's talk some fashion.
Started to really like the combination of leopard print and white. I'm wearing a lot of white every summer, and this summer in particular (even on my feet!) but this great combination just recently occured to me.
I'm wearing here a favorite old leopard tee, a very useful white skirt which I got in the begining of the summer and can't get enough of, and a hint of turquoise. Which is always a great addition to leopard.

התמונות שלמעלה צולמו רגע לפני ה"סערה", כשכנראה כבר התחלתי להעלות חום אבל לא שמתי לב לכך/התכחשתי. צילמנו על הדרך לארוחת שישי בערב, שאותה סיימתי על הספה מכוסה בשמיכה ועם צמרמורות אימתניות שלא הותירו ספק שאני חולה.
למרבה המזל הסיוט הזה סוף סוף מאחורי ואפשר להתעסק קצת באופנה: אני לובשת כאן שילוב שהפך להיות אחד החביבים עלי: מנומר + לבן. בדרך כלל בקיץ, ובייחוד בקיץ האחרון אני לובשת הרבה לבן, אבל רק בעונה הנוכחית נפל לי האסימון שהשילוב בין המנומר ללבן יכול להיות נהדר.
החולצה היא מחביבות המלתחה, תמיד גוררת תגובות ותשבוחות על התעוזה שלי ללבוש מנומר והחצאית היא אחת מלהיטי הקיץ שנרכשה בתחילתו וכבר מזמן החזירה את ההשקעה עקב לבישות חוזרות ונשנות.

breeze

July is always a hard one: temps are rising high, and if unfortunately you're not on vacation (like moi) you're either waiting desperately for your vacation to come, or reminiscing about your last holiday, but maily working hard.
So, conditions require very light and flimsy outfits: mainly short shorts, skirts and sleeveless everything.
While wearing this I have managed to feel a slight breeze and I think those cool blue colors I put on myself plus the white as snow heels did the trick. Even if they just cooled me in my imagination.
Gotta get myself a new sleeveless denim blouse because this one's almost disintegrating as a result of too much wear. Any ideas?

יולי הוא תמיד חודש קשה: הטמפרטורות בשיאן ואם למרבה הצער אתם לא מתוכננים לצאת לחופש החודש - כמוני - אז סביר להניח שאתם מחכים בקוצר רוח לחופשה העתידית או מתרפקים בנוסטלגיה על הנופש האחרון.
ובזמן שאנו מחכים להפוגה הבאה אפשר להתלבש, אבל לא ביותר מדי דברים כי תנאי השטח לא מאפשרים.
צו השעה הוא מכנסונים, חצאיות קצרות, חצאיות-מכנס וכל חלק עליון שאינו כולל את האלמנט המכונה: "שרוולים".
בהתחשב בכל המגבלות הנ"ל יצרתי לי אאוטפיט שאפילו הצליח לצנן אותי, גם אם בדמיוני בלבד, בחצי מעלה לפחות: תלבושת המורכבת מגוונים קרירים של כחול, ונעליים לבנות וצחות כשלג שהן הלהיט האחרון.

white

The past few months, I think I didn't follow too may current trends:

1. Pastel colors and mainly mint green - I don't own any item in this color.

2. Peplums - Only one garment in my entire closet has a peplum and this is also by chance 'cause the main reason I chose it was the pretty red lace it was made of. The peplum was an "OK" addition.

3. Tropical prints - I (really) liked this trend from afar, but it never quite made it into my closet.

4. Crop tops (belly revealing) - the last time I loved that trend was in the 10th grade. And had enough of it for a lifetime.

I guess I've started growing up. A bit.

But there was one trend I could not get out of my head and it is white shoes, with pointy toes and ankle straps. And it was clear to me I'll cave eventually.
Still getting used to the geriatric meets star trek chic they have, but I feel like we're gonna be best friends soon.

בחודשים האחרונים לא יישמתי יותר מדי טרנדים:

1. צבעי פסטל ובראשם ירוק מנטה - אין ברשותי אפילו פריט אחד בגוון הזה.

2. טרנד הפפלום (peplum) - רק דבר אחד בתוך המלתחה שלי כולל פפלום, וגם זה די במקרה כי הסיבה העיקרית שגרמה לי לבחור בפריט המסוים הזה היא התחרה האדומה היפהפייה המרכיבה אותו.

3. הדפסים טרופיים - הרשיתי לעצמי לחבב (מאוד) את הטרנד הזה מרחוק אבל לא ניכסתי אותו לחיק המלתחה.

4. חולצות בטן - רכבתי על הגל בפעם האחרונה כיתה י' וזה הספיק לי.

כנראה שהגיל עושה את שלו ואני באמת מתבגרת. קצת.

אבל יש טרנד אחד שלא הצלחתי להוציא מהראש והוא נעליים לבנות עם חרטום מחודד ורצועת קרסול, והיה לי ברור שאני הולכת להיכנע לו בשלב זה או אחר של הקיץ.
אני עדיין מנסה להסתגל לשיק החללי/גריאטרי והבוהק שלהן, אך ללא ספק אנחנו הולכות להיות חברות טובות.

valentino rockstud

Happy to be finally wearing my valentino rockstud pumps! I got them in the middle of winter so they were sitting quietly in their red box for a while... but no more!
Still trying to figure out how to incorporate them in an outfit - in my opinion they should be the center of attention in the outfit (well, duhh, these are serious attention getters) plus they are so fancy and over the top that I think should be put in quite a casual context - even rugged and well worn pair of cropped jeans and a tee shirt. That's what I call a good juxtaposition.

שמחה לנעול סוף סוף את הנעליים המדהימות שנקנו באמצע החורף והמתינו יפה בקופסה במשך כמה חודשים. ההמתנה הגיעה לקיצה והן יכולות סוף סוף לראות אור שמש ולהתחיל לצבור קילומטרז'!
אלה ללא ספק הנעליים הכי מפוארות, מפונפנות ומהוללות שיש לי בארון ואני עדיין מנסה להבין באיזה שילובים כדאי לנעול אותן. דעתי עד כה היא שהן צריכות להיות מרכז תשומת הלב באאוטפיט - טוב, זה לא ממש קשה - ובמיוחד משום שיש שם למטה כל כך הרבה עושר וקורה שם כל כך הרבה, צריך להשקיט את כל מה שמסביב. אם זה אומר בצבעים נייטרליים כמו באאוטפיט שאני לובשת כאן, או בקומבינציה שאני ממש רוצה לנסות של ג'ינס משופשף באורך 7/8 וטי שירט. סה טו.

OMFG

So here's one of the acquisitions from my trip to Paris: amazing Valentino rockstud pumps! I've been coveting these shoes for such a long time and am pretty sure these are not everyone's cup of tea but I just love them! Very bold and sexy, can't wait to try 'em on with a cool outfit of 7/8 skinny jeans and a casual button down blouse. Dream come true!

הנה אחת הרכישות המרכזיות מהנסיעה האחרונה לפריז: נעלי עקב מעוטרות בניטים לבית האופנה ולנטינו! ניסיתי את הדגם הזה במגוון צבעים בבוטיק של ולנטינו ב- Avenue Montaigne ולבסוף הגורל נפל על הזוג האדמדם שהתאים בצורה מיטבית לגוון עורי הלבנבן משהו. אלה נעליים מאוד דומיננטיות ובעלות נוכחות, שאני בטוחה שלא קולעות לטעם של כולם, אבל מהרגע שנחו עיני לראשונה על העיצוב המדהים הזה לא יכולתי להוציא אותן מהראש. היישר למוזיאון הנעליים הפרטי שלי!

while we're on the subject

So this is the third (and last?) instalment of: "how to wear red in winter". I didn't really mean to make it a multiple post theme just simply got carried away with this luscious shade, and altough I still have pleanty of material to go on and on I think we're gonna stop here for now. 'cause I don't wanna get repetitive and all that...
Anyway, this time I decided to wear my warm and cozy oversized striped sweater, restraining the volume of that cute camel full skirt. Added a pair of calssic pointy toe pumps decorated with a bow and my beloved little drawstring bag (LOVE drawstring bags!).

מעניין לעניין ובאותו עניין: זה האאוטפיט השלישי (והאחרון?) שלי בסדרה "איך ללבוש אדום בחורף" ועל אף שיש לי עוד הרבה רעיונות וחומר גלם להמשיך את שרשרת התלבושות האסוציאטיבית הזו נראה לי שנפסיק כאן. מישהי לא מזמן כתבה לי במייל "את לא מפסיקה להפתיע כל פעם מחדש", אז גם כדי לא לבאס אותה חשבתי לחתום את הפרק האדום, לפחות לעת עתה.
הפעם החלטתי ללבוש את האדום בסוודר פסים oversized רפוי ומשוחרר שתמיד כיף ללבוש, אשר כולא מתחתיו את הנפח של החצאית הקאמלית הקצרצרה. הוספתי נעלי עקב קלאסיות עם שפיץ וסרט (שאולי זכורות למישהו מהפוסט הנ"ל) ותיק קטן ואדום שהפך בקלות להיות אחד מהחביבי המלתחה בזכות הצורה הפונקציונלית, הקטיפה החושנית ועיטור הניטים המדויק.

fantasy vs reality

מהפך אופנתי!!!
לא רק שאני לא שוללת באופן מוחלט נעלי שפיץ כפי שנהגתי לעשות עד לפני כמה חודשים (הקוראים האדוקים בוודאי יודעים ומשפשפים את עיניהם...), אלא שאני אפילו חולמת בלילות על הזוג הזה של ולנטינו המוצג בתמונה העליונה. לא רק שהשפיץ אינו דוחה אותי אלא הנעליים הללו הן בעיני שלמות מושלמת ביותר בגוון ניוד, עם ניטים קשוחים בתור הדובדבן שעל הקצפת. פריט מטמטם במחיר מטמטם לא פחות (כמעט 900 דולר!!), אז כנראה שזה לא יקרה.
ואם כבר התרככתי ונפתחתי לאופציות נוספות, החלטתי ללכת על האופציה הרגועה והסולידית (בתמונה מס' 2) - שמזכירה את מושא ההתאהבות בגוון, בגובה העקב ובשפיץ - מבית אלדו. נעליים אידאליות מבחינתי לעבודה, שיכולות לעבור בקלות מלבוש יום ללבוש ערב ושבסה"כ מחמיאות מאוד לרגל בגלל הגוון המשתלב עם צבע העור ונותן אשלייה של אורך נוסף, ולו במעט. ברוכות הבאות למלתחה!

If you follow me long enough you probably read here that I absolutely despise pointy shoes. I don't know but for a really long time something about them just rubbed me the wrong way. But no more!! In the last few months I have opend myself to the possibility of looking at these kinds of shoes in a positive way and now the item at the top of my wishlist is these G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S valentino pumps, which are so amazing and totally perfect in my opinion.
Since their price is also amazing, I guess it's not gonna happen so I settaled for this cute pair from Aldo which resembles the coveted in color, heel hight and pointy toe. They are great for work and also go nicely with evening outfits and overall they are a great addition to my shoe wardrob! Yay!
