למען האמת, זה היה סוג של אתגר להסתובב היום ברחבי חיפה סחופת הרוחות לבושה בחצאית הסופר אוורירית והמתנפנפת (שלא לומר מתעופפת) הזאת והכובע הקליל שאיים להתנתק מראשי עם כל משב רוח. אבל, לא הרגשתי חום ולא מחנק והגנתי על עור הפנים שלי מפני פיגמנטציה עתידית (כולי תקווה) וחוצמזה, מי אני שאדחה אתגר אופנתי?!
את הכובע מצאתי במשביר לצרכן, מקום שתמיד נראה בעיני תמוה משהו ומעורר שאלות כמו: "מה בדיוק הקונספט של קניינות האופנה פה?" ועם זאת זוכה לביקורים תכופים שבהם אני קונה בעיקר לבנים / גרביים ומפעם לפעם מוצאת איזו מציאה מסוג זה.
ועל אף שהכובע הזה לא בדיוק ניתן להגדרה (כמו שאר הבחירות של קנייני המשביר) והינו סוג של תמהיל בין כובע פנמה לבין כובע רחב שוליים ו'חסר עמוד שדרה' (יענו floppy hat), קידמתי את פניו בברכה ואימצתי אותו לחיק מלתחתי באהבה רבה. ללא ספק נמצא עוד אחד מהמרעננים האופנתיים הרשמיים שלי לקיץ זה!

Truth be told, it was kind of challenging to walk around today in the windy city of Haifa dressed in this super breezy silk skirt and this very light hat which threatened to detach itself from the top of my head with every gust. But, I didn't feel hot nor sweaty (and it was a hot day!) and also protected my skin, and.. who am I to turn down a fashion challenge?!
I found this hat in an Israeli department store, which is always pretty weird to me (in no way similar to American department stores), yet I keep frequenting mainly to buy underwear and socks. And sometimes I come across something like this hat and take it home.
I see this hat as some kind of mix between panama and floppy hat and although it is not really determined I totally love it and see it as a great staple for summer.
