more mustard

Mustard.
Doesn't sound so good on paper (better on a hot dog), and it has never been really clear to me to which skin color it is most suitable for, but hey - it works pretty damn good.
Especially in cold winter days (we had some of those lately) with a big turtleneck on top.
As you all know I'm not very shy when it comes to color (red hot, fuscia, both of them in the same outfit - bring it on!) and for a while now I've been having a little affair with this shade. See: here, here and here.
This winter I decided to bring it up a notch with this sweater which is one of my great sale finds, and which looks disturbingly similar (minus the color and turtleneck) to another sweater I own, one by Isabel Marant, which cost much more, even after discount...
Which leads me to the conclusion: wear more mustard, save a buck and feel good!

חרדל.
על הנייר לא נשמע כמו רעיון טוב במיוחד (יותר עדיף על נקניקייה), ולא ברור למי או לאיזה גוון עור הוא בדיוק מתאים (סורי, אני לגמרי לא מעדות טריני וסוזאנה), אבל בפועל זה עובד לא רע לטעמי.
בייחוד בימי חורף סופר קרירים כשמתלווה אליו גולף ענק ומרקם צמרירי.
כידוע לכם, אני לא אחת שמפחדת מצבעים (צהוב זוהר, צכלצ או ורוד פוקסיה זועק - ברינג איט און!), וכבר זמן רב אני מנהלת רומן לא מחייב עם הצבע הזה בשילובי צבעים שונים - רפרנסים כאן, כאן וכאן.
החורף החלטתי להעלות את יחסינו מדרגה, בעזרת הסוודר הזה שהוא אחת ממציאות הסיילים המוצלחות. מגניב ומחמם ומזכיר לא מעט (מינוס הגוון והגולף) סוודר אחר של אחת איזבל מארה שעלה פי כמה וכמה ממנו (גם בסייל).
והמסקנה? תלבשו חרדל, תחסכו כסף ותרגישו טוב - כבר יום שלישי אז מפה השבוע יכול רק להשתפר.
שבוע (יותר) טוב (ממה שהיה עד כה) לכולם!

score!

In contrary to what you might think, I'm not very good with "the sales". Usually I don't find such great stuff, it's too crowded, and all the things I'm really interested in are already sold-out or just never go on sale.
But the last sales were surprisingly good to me: I found this lovely boucle motorcycle jacket (another interesting version of this coat?), last one on the rack, for a whopping 50% off. how great is that? 1-fashionpea, 0-sales.
Or actually everybody wins?
Combined my new find with rather old stuff from my closet and that's what I wore to work on Sunday, before the weather got completely crazy over here and the only thing I could resort to was my puffer. And maybe a boat?? ;)

בניגוד למה שאתם אולי חושבים על שועלת שופינג ערמומית שכמוני, אני די גרועה בסיילים.
בדר"כ לא מצליחה למצוא דברים שווים בסייל, אווירת ההיסטריה והדוחק לא ממש נעימים לי, והפריטים שאני הכי מעוניינת בהם לרוב נמכרו כבר מזמן לפני שההנחות התחילו או שמשום מה דווקא עליהם אין שום הנחה. אפילו לא שקל.
לשמחתי הסייל האחרון דווקא הפתיע לטובה והצלחתי למצוא את ג'קט האופנוענים הנהדר הזה (טייק אוף על המעיל-ג'קט הזה?), אחרון על הקולב (!) במחצית ממחירו המקורי. הידד! אפונה-1 סיילים-0.
או שבעצם כולם זוכים?
שילבתי את המציאה החדשה עם שאר פריטים לא-כל-כך-חדשים מהארון וכך יצאתי טובה ושמחת לב לעבודה ביום ראשון, לפני שטירוף מזג האוויר החל ואז כבר לא היתה ברירה אלא לעבור רשמית למעיל פוך puffer שלי...
המשך שבוע טוב ויבש!

Forget about rainboots (there is nonstop rain here) or umbrellas, the thing that I'm most interested in - rain or shine - is bags. So you can probably guess how happy I was to receive this little leopard baby yesterday, after it made all the way from New York to me.
For quite sometime I felt the need to add some reinforcement to my collection of small bags. My "weekend bags" I like to call them, the ones I wear without noticing that they are there (in terms of weight and space they take).
This cutie is a great addition and I already visualize it as part of many outfits.
Can't wait for Thursday evening!

בכל רגע נתון יש לי איזשהוא תיק (או חמישה) על הכוונת, לכן אתם יכולים לנחש מה רבה היתה שמחתי כשקיבלתי את הבייבי הזה במתנה אתמול.
כבר מזמן חשתי צורך לתגבר את אגף התיקים הקטנים שלי, אלה שאפשר לשים אותם על הגוף בהצלב ולא להרגיש שהם שם, "תיקי הסופ"ש", אם תרצו. והמנומר החמוד הזה הוא תוספת מבורכת.
מחכה כבר ליום חמישי בקוצר רוח!

i love your bag

After this post, I decided to make this into a permenent item on the blog.
As you probably know, I'm mad about bags. I think this is the fashion accessory that speaks to me the most, more than jewelry or even shoes.
In my opinion a good bag is the "centerpiece" of every great outfit, and it helps tie everything together.
Over the last few years I have managed to collect a nice personal collection of bags, and, obviousely, I am still on the lookput for the next great designer bag.
Here are a few pictures of the lovely prada saffiano bag - you can't go any classier and cleaner than this. As you can see, in every color, and to different types of outfits, it adds a sophisticated note.

אחרי הפוסט ההוא על תיקי סלין, החלטתי להפוך זאת לפינה קבועה בבלוג.
כפי שאתם בטח יודעים כבר, אני משוגעת על תיקים. מ-ט-ו-ר-פ-ת. תיקים מדברים אליי יותר מבגדים ויותר מכל סוג אקססורי אופנה שהוא. אפילו נעליים. כן, קראתם נכון.
מבחינתי, תיק טוב הוא המרכז של כל אאוטפיט מוצלח. הוא מה שעוזר לקשור יחד את כל מרכיבי התלבושת ולהוסיף את ה"משהו אקסטרא" הזה, את הדובדבן שעל הקצפת.
בפוסט הנוכחי החלטתי לבדוק מקרוב את תיק saffiano של פראדה. קשה למצוא משהו יותר קלאסי ונקי ממנו.
וכפי שאתם רואים בתמונות למעלה, על שלל גווניו ובשילוב עם אאוטפיטים מסוגים וסגנונות שונים, התיק הזה נראה תמיד נפלא. ומוסיף ניחוח מתוחכם ואיכותי לכל שילוב בגדים באשר הוא.

hi there, 2013

As I promised in my previous post - something more "decent" to ring in the new year.
So, how are we feeling about 2013?
It's only been one day, but I have a feeling 2013 has the potential to be MAJOR!
Last year has been very eventful for me and a big year in terms of a lot of things but I'm more than ready to welcome the new year and see what it has in store for us.

I'm going to start 2013 with going back to scool: not doing my Masters degree yet, but taking
a 3 month course which is related to my work and what I'm interested in (other than fashion).
So excited about it and I can't wait for the course to begin since deep inside I'm a real nerd who loves school.

Anyways, while wearing the fanciest shoes I own, I would like to wish you all a happy new year.
May we all spread our wings and fly high this year!

כמו שהבטחתי בפוסט הקודם, אאוטפיט קצת יותר "מסודר" להתחיל איתו את השנה החדשה.
אז... איך אנחנו מרגישים לגבי 2013?
אני יודעת שבקושי עברה יממה אבל אני כבר יכולה להרגיש שלשנת 2013 יש פוטנציאל להיות שנה אדירה וכבירה.
השנה שעברה היתה בשבילי שנה מלאת אירועים ומאוד משמעותית (התחתנתי וזה, דאאא) אבל משום מה יש לי תחושה שבשנה הנוכחית יבואו דברים לא פחות גדולים וחשובים מבחינת התפתחות אישית.
או שלא.
לפחות אני אופטימית.
את 2013 אני מתחילה בלימודים. לא תואר שני, אבל קורס שנרשמתי אליו וקשור לתחום העיסוק שלי. אני משתוקקת כבר שיתחיל כי מזמן לא הייתי במסגרת לימודית כלשהי ואני הרי חננה שחולה על לימודים.

אז, בעודי נועלת את הנעליים הכי פאנסיות שיש לי בארון, אני שמחה לאחל לכם שנה אזרחית טובה.
